BeStart supports cleantech entrepreneurs with ambitions.
BeStart is a start-up accelerator which helps circular start-ups in the north of the Netherlands to become successful. We support you via business work sessions, and individual coaching, but mainly via our vast network of companies and local governments in the region: the BeStart network.
Start-up accelerator programme
For cleantech start-ups
Who work or wish to work in the north of the Netherlands.
Why BeStart?
Starting a business takes on average five to seven years. In cleantech, ten to fifteen years is not unusual. Unfortunately, only a small number get past the start-up phase. This is not normally due to the technology of the product but commercialisation and marketing.
In 2016, Omrin, Ecomunity Park, Wetsus and the Paques foundation started BeStart to highlight this problem. By boosting the participating start-ups, we promote the development of clean technologies, innovation and employment in the north of the Netherlands.
In the world of waste, increasing emphasis is being put on innovation. Via BeStart we gain access to disruptive technologies, which can develop in a protected environment.
What does a BeStart day look like?
Who is it for?
We invite cleantech start-ups with strong ambition to sign up for our accelerator programme. You are most welcome to apply if you are located in Friesland, Groningen or Drenthe but also if you are interested in expanding your business in our wonderful region.
BeStart network
The more businesses and local governments in the region are connected to the BeStart network, the better we can accelerate the development of cleantech innovations. The BeStart network consists of companies and local government which wish to contribute to the circular economy in the north of the Netherlands.
